Lane Farm is a character 17th Century farmhouse with oak beamed ceilings throughout. An ideal setting for a relaxing holiday in an area that is rich in scenery and history, yet in a location that is close to Shrewsbury and all the area market towns.

Shropshire is often referred to as the undiscovered county of England and the graveyard of ambition as it's low stress lifestyle has become one of choice for many who have visited and then moved into the area. Shropshire is the largest land locked county in England and is a primarily rural setting with a population of only 450,000 people set in an area of 1,350 square miles.

Shropshire is a border county between England and Wales. Originally Welsh, being formerly the Eastern fringes of the Welsh Kingdom of Powys, it is steeped in history. The county was annexed by King Offa (who gave rise to the Offa's dike) into the largely independent and tribal area of Mercia in the 8th Century. It was not until the 1500's that the area finally fell under the direct control of the English Crown.

The setting for Lane Farm is a key feature of the property. Located in the gently rolling hills of South Shropshire, there are 20 mile views along the Severn river valley towards Ironbridge.

There are four village pubs and restaurants within 3 miles on Lane Farm serving a wide variety of cuisine and on your doorstep entertainment.
